The HLT42021 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy can prepare you to work in a day spa, resort, wellness clinic, beauty clinic, or your own home or mobile massage business. Many relaxation massage therapists also choose to build flexible at-home practices, supporting family, friends, and their local community.

Flexible Online Study with Practical Training

This is one of the most flexible ways to gain a nationally recognised massage qualification. Your theory and coursework are delivered online, allowing you to study from home.

To graduate, you’ll complete required hands-on clinic hours at one of our Q Academy Training Clinics in South-East Queensland or New South Wales.

Course Inclusions
Learn full-body Swedish massage, Thai Massage, Sports Massage, and Seated Massage techniques. As well as Thermotherapy, Pregnancy Massage, Special Needs Massage, and Reflexology.

$4,900 + $109.95 materials fee
Course Duration
6-9 months
Clinical Practice
80 hours. Can be completed from one of our Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Sydney training clinics.
Entry Requirements
English language competency, internet connection, computer or laptop with a microphone and video camera, a printer, massage table, oil, towels, and friends/family to practice on!

As this is an online massage therapy course, the majority of your learning will be completed online. However, all students will need to attend a NETQ Training Clinic to complete supervised training hours and practical assessments, before the qualification can be issued. We currently have training clinics in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Melbourne & Sydney.

As you will be learning from home you will need to ensure you have a computer, iPad or tablet with a camera, printer, and of course, internet access. We recommend you purchase a massage table so you can practice on friends and family. If you don’t already have a table, we recommend Athlegen or Firm ‘n’ Fold. Your trainer can provide you with more advice if you would like to know more. and finding friends and family to practice on should be the easy part!

After completing your learning modules and assessments, you will need to complete 60 hours of clinical practice at one of our NETQ Training Clinics before your qualification can be issued. 

All of the course content is presented in a digital manual, and classes presented in short video format by an experienced trainer and assessor. You will be taken through both the practical and theoretical material in an easy to follow, logical sequence.

You will also receive one-on-one sessions with a trainer and assessor via Skype, which will help you prepare for practical and theory assessments. You will have the ability in these Skype sessions to ask any questions, demonstrate your learnings and treatments, and receive real-time feedback, without ever needing to leave the house.

Course Fees

The HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Online costs $3,520 +$109.95 material fee. There are two finance options available:

1) Self-finance the cost of the course: pay three (3) equal installments every 2 months of $1,173. There will also be a $109.95 material fee upon enrolment for your student shirts, oil, oil bottle and holster.
2)  If you live in a rural or remote area you may be eligible for a scholarship from the federal government to assist with the costs associated with your study once you are enrolled, please see here for more information.
