HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy
Content: Interested in learning Swedish, Thai, Sports, and Seated Massage techniques? Q Academy’s HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy provides you all of that plus a solid foundation in Anatomy and Physiology as well as Neuro-Muscular Techniques and client communication skills to allow you to work in a day spa, resort, beauty clinic, or start your own massage clinic.
QLD HLS Subsidy: The Queensland Government can subsidise this course so it only costs $442 or $228 (depending on whether you qualify for a further concession). The Higher Level Skills (HLS) Subsidy is only available to Queensland residents with no qualification higher than a Certificate IV (in any field). Contact us to find out if you are eligible.
Delivery Full-time: 2 days per week on-campus (Classroom & Clinic) plus some home study.
Delivery Part-Time: 1 day per week on-campus plus home study. The flexible, E-classroom course consists of self directed online modules which can be studied at home as well as on-campus where you can get advice from a course coach as required. This flexible program is ideal if your study has to fit in with shift work, family requirements or school holidays, etc.
Start Date Full-time: 4 x start dates/year. Starts together with Diploma classes (see “NEWS” Home Page).
Start Date Part-time: 12 x start dates/year.The flexible E-classroom courses start in the first week of each month so you can get started sooner.

HLS Subsidised Course Fee: For both full-time and part-time programs, if eligible, total to pay is $442 (without Concession) or $208 (with Concession)
HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage (Health & Wellness)
Content: The Health & Wellness Diploma of Remedial Massage program is our foundation level diploma program and covers Swedish & Pregnancy Massage, Trigger Point and Thermotherapy, Myofascial & Positional Release Techniques, and expanded modalities such as Reflexology, Seated Massage, Sports Massage as well as offer nutrition advice, manual lymphatic drainage, and injury prevention screening – delivered by our highly experienced teachers at our Brisbane campus. This will give you a range of skills suited to working in a massage and wellness clinic environment or in a home clinic as a Remedial Massage Therapist. The Health & Wellness Diploma of Remedial Massage course is delivered at our Brisbane campus in Fortitude Valley.
Private Provider Numbers: You will be fully eligible for all of your private provider numbers. This means you can offer your clients with private health insurance a rebate on their treatments.
Delivery Full-time: On-campus is 2 days per week (Classroom & Clinic) plus some home study.

Funding: If you’re an Australian citizen, you may be eligible for the Government’s VET Student Loan. If eligible, the cost of the course is funded by the Government, your only out-of-pocket contribution would be the $100 materials fee. This means you start repayments to the Government once you’re working in the industry.
HLS Subsidy: If you’re eligible for the Queensland Higher Level Skills (HLS) Subsidy for the HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage (for $208 or $442) then on its completion you can study the upgrade to the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage (Health & Wellness) and save $4,000 on the course fee.

HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage (Advanced Rehab)
Content: The Advanced Rehab Diploma of Remedial program expands on the foundations of the Health & Wellness Diploma program and includes more advanced skills, knowledge, and techniques for therapists wanting to work at the highest level with Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors in multi-modality clinics. You’ll be able to apply Remedial TENS, Myofascial Cupping, Thai Massage, and K-Taping plus an extensive range of advanced orthopaedic skills to your treatment options and therefore have all the foundational skills to rapidly progress to become an elite Myotherapist. The Advanced Rehab Diploma of Remedial Massage course is taught at our Brisbane campus in Fortitude Valley.

Duration: 12 months (full-time)
Full Course Fee: $15,000 + $100 Materials Fee
Funding: If you’re an Australian citizen, you may also be eligible for the Government’s VET Student Loan so that your only out-of-pocket contribution would be the $100 materials fee. You can start repayments to the Government once you’re earning in excess of the minimum income threshold, and avoid any commercial loan risks (see the below VSL FAQ’s).

Myotherapy Advantage Scholarship: Within the first 2 years of graduating, our Advanced Rehab Program graduates will also receive the Myotherapy Advantage Scholarship worth $4,500 to apply towards the $9,960 course fee for the VIC22316 Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy which will then be reduced to just $5,490 .

Once you have a Diploma of Remedial Massage and are working in the industry, you may want to consider upgrading to the VIC22316 Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy to further your career in allied health as an elite Myotherapist.
A myotherapist can treat more complex conditions, and allows them to assist a broader range of clients. With additional treatment options such as cupping, dry needling, mobilisation techniques, corrective exercise plans, and TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation).
Delivery: 2 days on-campus per month

The Part-time (Flexible E-classroom) courses are self directed online modules which can be studied at home as well as on-campus, 1 day per week, so you can get advice from a course coach if required. This program gives you access to our coaches on campus as well as the flexibility to study when you can, so it is ideal if your study has to fit in with shift work requirements or school holiday breaks etc.
We believe that learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience. We have smaller class numbers on-campus and multiple start dates per year, for added convenience. Our educators or ‘course coaches’ are highly trained and experienced in the industry, and will make sure that your time in the classroom is productive, supportive and entertaining.
