If you’re eligible for the HLS Subsidy your course fee for the HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy is reduced to just a $442 or $208 (if eligible for a further concession). You can therefore save $4,000, and upgrade to the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage for just $6,500 (which can be funded by the Government’s VET Student Loan).

HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy
If you’re a Queensland resident with no prior qualifications higher than a Certificate IV (in any field), you may be eligible for the Higher Level Skills (HLS) Subsidy.
This means the $4,000 course is subsidised by the Queensland Government, and your total to pay would be either $208 or $442 (depending on whether you qualify for a further concession). This could save you thousands of dollars on your course fees, and is a great way to help people enter the massage industry.

HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage (Health & Wellness)
If you’re an Australian citizen, you may be eligible for the Government’s VET Student Loan. This means the cost of the course is funded by the Government, your only out-of-pocket contribution is the $100 materials fee which covers your student shirt, oil bottle, holster etc.
This qualification would make you eligible for your private provider numbers, which means you can offer your clients with private health insurance a rebate on their treatments.

An Exciting New Career as a Remedial Massage Therapist
If you are interested in a career as a massage therapist, Remedial Massage is considered to be the benchmark qualification. Q Academy’s HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage course is science-based, so you will learn anatomy and physiology, a range of orthopaedic testing techniques, injury prevention screening, myofascial and positional release techniques, and trigger points. The course also covers sought-after skills and techniques such as Swedish Massage, reflexology, thermotherapy, Thai massage, sports massage, seated massage and offer nutrition advice.
Another important part of the course is clinical practice. From a Q Academy campus Student Clinic you will get real-world experience running a busy clinic, from client retention, booking systems and treating a range of injuries and concerns. All of your materials such as oil, towels, and treatment tables, as well as clients are provided for you.
Once you graduate, you can set up your own small clinic or mobile business. Or you can find employment in private practice or a health and wellness clinic. Massage therapy can be a rewarding career as you help your clients relax, relieve pain and tension, and work towards helping them move well and feel better. There is also a great deal of flexibility with your schedule.
The Full-Time courses are primarily delivered on-campus, face-to-face (1 or 2 days per week) but for a number of subjects that are delivered online.
