Yes, absolutely! We offer a number of short, specialised courses that are ideal for qualified therapists who would like to earn CPE points in order to maintain their professional currency. Some of our short courses include dry needling; myofascial cupping; hot stones; traditional flame cupping; and pregnancy and infant massage. These short massage courses begin at various dates throughout the year, so please do check the dates and campus information before you enrol.
Yes. In fact, if you are a Q Academy graduate, you are entitled to attend our first aid refresher course for free, for the rest of your career. While a first aid renewal will generally cost more than $100 every time you do it, we’ll save you the expense when you study with us. As a practising massage therapist, you will need to do a first aid course every three years in order to stay registered, so this is a great benefit in the long term.
We offer a range of massage courses to cater for all levels of training and experience. Our courses include the benchmark qualification in massage, the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage, through to the highest VET-level qualification; the 22316VIC Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy. With the exception of the 22316VIC Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy, most of our courses require no previous massage experience and are a great starting point for a career in the manual therapies.
Yes, absolutely! We offer online massage courses which allow students access to the same learning material as our on-campus students. If you choose to study online, you will get access to all of your course content in a digital manual with short, engaging video lessons presented by our experienced course developers. You’ll also receive one-on-one sessions with a trainer and assessor to help you prepare for assessments and give you the chance to ask any questions and check your understanding or application of techniques. The final step in your online training will include supervised practical training hours at your nearest Q Academy Training Clinic in either Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Sydney or Melbourne.
Yes, of course! We would love for you to visit us on campus. Located in the lively Fortitude Valley area – just behind the Emporium precinct. Our new massage school in Brisbane has three spacious classrooms, two professional clinic rooms open to the general public, a gym, as well as study and breakout areas.
Our Regional massage training school and student clinic on the Gold Coast is situated in the dynamic Robina Town Centre. We are located above Myer, on the 1st floor, in the medical precinct with over 300 shops and dozens of restaurants and coffee shops.
Located on Aerodrome Road, Maroochydore – between the beach and the Sunshine Plaza. The Sunshine Coast Regional campus is furnished with 4 modern training rooms, 8 massage clinic bays, and a fully-equipped student kitchen. Q Academy’s Sunshine Coast campus is one of our largest and most modern.
Our Regional North Queensland campus is located in the central Parramatta Park region of Cairns near the Central Train Station and the Cairns Central shopping centre.
Our NSW campus is our smallest campus with a student clinic and is situated in the Castle Towers shopping centre in Castle Hills in the northern region of Sydney and is easily reached by rail.
