Study Nationally Accredited Online Massage Courses with NETQ
NETQ is Q Academy’s dedicated online training division, designed for students who want to study massage therapy but are unable to attend regular on-campus classes. It’s ideal for those with busy schedules, or students located outside South-East Queensland or Sydney, including regional NSW and Queensland.
Our online massage courses offer maximum flexibility and convenience, allowing you to study from home while receiving full online tutor support. You’ll graduate with a nationally accredited qualification that is recognised by the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT), making you eligible to apply for private health fund provider numbers (subject to association requirements).
Eligible students may also apply for a Government VET Student Loan to help fund their Diploma of Massage Therapy. Please contact us to confirm your eligibility.
Clinical Practice Requirements
While most of your training is delivered online, all NETQ students must complete on-campus clinical practice and final assessments before a qualification can be issued.
To meet current industry and health fund requirements, students must complete 200 hours of supervised clinical practice at a NETQ Training Clinic located in:
-
Brisbane
-
Gold Coast
-
Sunshine Coast
-
Sydney
This ensures graduates meet the standards required by all major private health insurers for provider recognition.

Online Study FAQs
Which Campuses can I book into to do my clinical hours.
You can book in your clinical hours at any of the Q Academy Campuses. Days and times available are subject to availability at the time of your placement.
Can I change to another campus if it would suit me better during the courses?
You can complete your clinical hours at any location, this means you can change locations for part of your clinical hours providing the other campus has space available.
You can also upgrade from the online course to our onsite courses (within a certain point of the course), again providing there is space in the classroom, should you find the online study method isn’t working for you.
Can I choose to change my clinic attendance from block mode (week or more at a time) to doing it one day a week or vice versa?
We can look at all options for you; however the answer will be dependant on the space available in the clinic at that time. But we have certainly had online students do this in the past.
What support do you get as an online vs on campus student?
Online support is limited to email communication only. But these responses can occur during weekends or nights.
The onsite students will have support during business hours instead via email, phone, in person as well as having access to book in for some one-on-one course coach time.
What further study options are there for more advanced training?
Once you have completed the Diploma of Remedial Massage, you will be able to use this qualification to advance into any further study you like such as, Physio, Osteo, allied health, Occupational Therapy etc.
With Q Academy you can come onsite to complete our Advanced Diploma or Myotherapy. Or you could complete some of our short courses either online or onsite.
