HLT42021 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy
(INTENSIVE program only)
Duration: 3 months – oncampus live class
Delivery: Intensive 4 days/week, live oncampus classes.
The CIV is an entry level course for relaxation and sport massage and is ideal for those wanting to be industry ready to enter the workforce as a Relaxation Therapist as quickly as possible.
Only the Brisbane campus offers our “INTENSIVE” CIV program. It is the only Brisbane course with the option of Higher Level Subsidy funding. If eligible, would only cost $448 and save you $4,500.
HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage
Duration: Full-time: 12 months
Delivery: FT: 2 days a week at Brisbane campus
The remedial diploma is considered to be the essential qualification in the massage industry so you’re eligible to offer Health Care (Medibank) rebates.
The Brisbane campus offers the industry leading “ADVANCED REHAB” and “REHAB” programs taught live in class plus the more flexible “CORE SKILLS” E-classroom hybrid program.
International students can also enrol into these programs.

Course Subsidy & Funding Options
Higher Level Skills Subsidy (HLS)
HLS is a Qld Government Subsidy for eligible Qld residents, over 15, that have not studied a Cert IV or higher level Australian course and wish to study the HLT42021 Certificate IV in Massage, on-campus, at Q Academy. For eligible students the standard Course Fee of $4,900 is reduced to just $442, a saving of over $4.4K, that does not need to be repaid. To be eligible you have to also be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident or a temporary resident on the pathway to permanent residency.
VET Student Loan
VSL is a 0% interest Loan from the Australian Government, available to eligible students for eligible courses. Please note that the Loan has a one-time 20% loan fee and is inflation adjusted yearly, but no interest is ever applied. VSL payments are only deducted from your salary in any year that your taxable income exceeds the Repayment Income Threshold (2024 is $51,550) otherwise no repayments are required. If eligible, your only out-of-pocket fee would be $100.

- Massage is a physical and hands on vocation that requires you can work with your arms while standing all day on your feet. The treatment modalities and physical effort is greatest with a typical relaxation or sports massage covered by a Cert IV qualification while a Remedial treatment is more focussed on helping treat a specific complaint or issue that requires more specialised localised treatments that can be less physically stressful on the therapists as well as more rewarding financially.
